Happy 20th Anniversary Carly!

Caroline Leigh "Carly" Benson  know known as Carly Corinthos , formerly Quartermaine, Alcazar and Jacks



For 20 years we have been blessed with the many faces of Carly - some played her better than others and we will always have our favorites. I can say that I loved Sarah Joy Brown, the original Carly who came to town to get revenge against her mother, Bobbie. But when she left the role in 2001, I knew Tamara Braun had some huge shoes to fill.

However, Tamara brought Carly to a different level. She married Sonny so she didn't have to testify against him, tried to get him out of the mob so he files for divorce, she witnesses his one night stand with Alexis, fakes her own death, comes back during her own funeral, remarries Sonny, gets pregnant, is kidnapped by Ric (Sonny's brother) and is held hostage in the panic room he built so he could steal her baby and give it to Liz. She then is held hostage by Sonny's enemy Lorenzo Alcazar, who helps her give birth to Morgan Stone Corinthos in 2003. Sonny accidentally shoots Carly in the head while she is in labor with Morgan. ( he was aiming for Lorenzo). She went into a coma and Jason and Courtney took care of her boys. When Carly kept Kristina's paternity a secret from Sonny who didn't feel bad for her? Carly believed Michael (her first born) was dead, who didn't want that reunion to be with Tamara? It was heartbreaking to see Michael be reunited with Jennifer Branson who didn't last long as the newest Carly in 2005 -

We were all hesitant when the role was yet again recast. In my humble opinion Laura Wright has been the all time best recast ever!
