Ric Lansing came to Port Charles November 8, 2002 as Sonny's half brother (they share the same mother but different fathers) but did withhold that information for several months. He was so jealous of Sonny that when his wife, Liz miscarried, he wrongly accused Sonny of this. When Sonny's wife Carly was pregnant (with Morgan), Ric kidnaped Carly and kept her in a panic room. He was going to keep her until she gave birth to her child and give the baby to Liz.
